Ward D community in Lokoja local government area, have been called upon to embrace peace and unity for the progress and development of the area.
The called was made by the chairman of a political pressure group, Ward D -G17, Alhaji Hassan Inuwa Manager during an interactive meeting organised by the group in Lokoja on Saturday, stressing:“It is only through collective action and inclusive dialogue that we can overcome the obstacles that hinder our progress as a community.
We urge all stakeholders to foster an environment of mutual respect, understanding, and tolerance. It is incumbent upon each of us to refrain from engaging in divisive rhetoric and to promote unity, harmony, and peace within our communities.” he said.
Manager maintained further that as responsible and patriotic citizens, ward D -G17 remain committed to the rejuvenation of the community through effective campaign aimed at fostering positive change.
In his on remarks, former speaker Kogi state House of Assembly,Rt.Hon. Umar Imam advised politicians from the area to unite.
The disparaging remarks from individuals who should exemplify higher standards must stop. It is crucial that I want to use this medium to call our leaders, politicians and their followers to embrace unity, and peace.
it is imperative that we embrace unity and progress as the guiding principles for our collective journey.” he said.
Those who spoke at the event includes: Hon Suleiman Babadoko , Engineer Yahaya Muhammad Danladi Farouk, engineer Sagir Abdulsalam and Dr Abubakar Yusuf Abdullah,APC chairman Lokoja local government,hon Maikudi Bature among many others.
