Omala Council Boss Resumes office, Promises to Improve Working Conditions of LG Staff

The Caretaker Chairman of Omala Local Government Area, Hon. Mark Edibo officially resumed work at the Secretariat of Omala Local Government Area in Abejukolo on Monday January 15, 2024.

The agile former APC Youth Leader walked from his residence to the Secretariat, amidst cheers from supporters and was received by the Director of Local Government (DLG), Mr. Akuh D. Solomon . He was conducted round the offices and introduced to various Departments. Hon. MarkNoble thereafter inspected the state of infrastructures at the Secretariat and directed the immediate installation of Solar light in Strategic locations within the premises.

While receiving the handing over documents from the DLG, Hon. Mark committed to giving the secretariat a face-lift and make the environment conducive for workers, stressing that a conducive working environment will enhance workers’ productivity and to underscore his seriousness to this project, the Council Chairman raised a team of Inspectors to go round the Secretariat and identify infrastructure and office equipment that needs immediate remedial works. This inspection also included the Local Government Guest House that has been left in a bad shape over the years.

In separate engagements with Labour Unions, Heads of Departments and other top officials of Government, Hon. Mark called for the cooperation of all the Staff in the running of his Administration while promising to run an open door policy where every staff will make meaningful contributions to the growth and development of Omala.

Also, the Council Chairman held a closed door meeting with Heads of Security Agencies in the Area where he reiterated his commitment to tackling insecurity and ensuring peace in the Local Government.
Hon. MarkNoble charged them to be alert and alive to their duties in securing the lives and properties of the people and promise his administration’s support to them at all times.
