The New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) have suspended Lokoja Local Government part Chairman,Hon. Alhaji Alhaji for alleged anti- party activities.
Speaking at a press conference in Lokoja on Tuesday, Leader of the party in kogi west ,Hon. Abubakar Ibuku Muhammed, Bukky,said as leader of the party, I decided to addressed newsmen to brief them of the decision to suspend the chairman.
While alleging the chairman of working against the NNPP gubernatorial candidate in next Saturday election, Bukky said executive of the party and stakeholders held a meeting to look into the actions of the chairman,it was discovered that the local government chairman with some collaborators and working against the interest of the party in the area.
” The NNPP gubernatorial candidate didn’t step down from Saturday election,let me use this medium to appeal to our supporters to remain calm.
We are aware of the antics of some members of the party,led by Lokoja local government NNPP chairman who’s leading the vanguard of surrogates
“We have suspended,Striped him of his Chairmanship of the party in Lokoja local government. To this effect, he’s not Representing NNPP as our party executives at the ward in Lokoja local government have signed and henceforth he ceases to be a Chairman of NNPP in Lokoja LGA,” Bukky said
