Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello has led the Kogi State government’s delegation to the funeral prayer of the late Executive Chairman Of Lokoja Local Government Council,Hon.Danasabe Muhammad Danasabe who passed away in the early hours of Friday 10th November 2023 in Lokoja, Kogi State.
The funeral prayer, which was held at the Lokoja Central Mosque, Lokoja was attended by thousands of sympathisers from within and outside the state.
Shortly after the funeral prayer, Governor Bello proceeded to the Unguwan Kura cemetery where the deceased was laid to rest.
In an emotion-laden voice, the APC leader, Lokoja/ Kogi federal Constituency, Alhaji Sulaiman Baba Ali while speaking to THEANALYSTNG said, “Today, a giant tree in Lokoja political scene has fallen and the entire Federal Constituency. We have lost a rare gem, a humble and dedicated leader who was highly cherished by his followers and the entire people Lokoja and State ”.
Ali noted that the late Chairman lived a life of service and offered counsel and leadership guidance for the peace, unity, growth and development of Lokoja in particular and state as a whole .
“On behalf of myself, All Progressive Congress (APC) supporters in Lokoja/ Kogi federal Constituency, I wish to extend our condolences to the bereaved family members and the entire Lokoja Local Government area over this monumental loss”,Ali stated.
Chief Imam of Lokoja, sheikh Mohammad Aminu Sha’aban who led the funeral prayer for the reposed of Muhammad, said the sudden death of Muhammad is a lesson to all, prayed Allah to grant him janatul-firdaus.
The imam said,“the sudden exit of late Muhammad Danasabe Muhammad is a lesson to all of us, especially considering his status and age, but what was destined by Allah is not questionable; as such I am using this medium to urge us all to take solace in the fact that it is Allah who gives and takes at decreed times”Imam Sha’aban said.
THEANALYST reports that Muhammad Danasabe Muhammad passed away today at Shifa Hospital, Lokoja after a brief illness.
