Gov. Bello, Ododo, Speaker KGHA Others Attend Late Muhammad Danasabe’s Eight-Day Fida’u

The fidau (eighth-day) prayer for late Chairman of Lokoja Local Government Council,Hon. Muhammad Danasabe Muhammad who died last Friday, aged 47, was held on Friday in Lokoja, Kogi State.

Governor Yahaya Bello,Kogi Governor -Elect,Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, Speaker,Kogi state House of Assembly, Rt.Hon.Aliyu Umar Yusuf, Commissioner for Solid mineral, engineer Bashir Gegu and other dignitaries were present at the prayer.

The Chief Imam of Lokoja, Sheikh Muhammadu Aminu Sha’aban in his sermon, admonished politicians and all to imbibe the good deeds of the late Chairman.

Imam Sha’aban said the contributions of the late muhammad Danasabe to the development of the community would not be forgotten.

The Islamic clerics also called on the people of the state to use the prayer as avenue to readjust their ways and live up to the expectations of the masses.

Sha’aban,who noted that death is inevitable, urged those at the event to reflect on their lifestyles and prayed for the repose of the late Chairman.

He urged those who attended the event to remember that death is inevitable for everyone.

Earlier,Governor Yahaya Bello who spoke on behalf of government, described the late Executive chairman of Lokoja Local Government Council, Hon. Danasabe Muhammad Danasabe as a son and an ardent and loyal supporter of GYB,whose untimely exit was painful not only to the deceased family, but Kogi state as a whole.

The governor further said the Former Chairman’s unprecedented support for GYB and the deceased landmarks achievements would forever be remembered.

He noted that he received the death of Muhammad Danasabe with shock: “I received the news of the death of Danasabe with shock,he was very loyal,hard working politician whose landmark achievements would remain in Lokoja, I decided to honour him by attended the Fidau prayer despite my tight schedules.

We are not going to turn our back on you for your support as I’ll do my best to support the family ” Bello promised.

The Gov.who expressed his appreciations to the people of Lokoja for coming out last Saturday and casted their votes for APC despite the demised of their love one, Called on the community not to abandoned the family of the deceased.
“I want to thank you for your support throughout my tenure,I’ll be stepping down on the 24th of January 2024, but I’ll be around to make sure things are done right” the Gov said.

Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo,Kogi state Governor-Elect in his remarks, described the late Chairman as an administrator who fought insecurity in Lokoja Local Government throughout his term as chairman.

He assured the people and the family of the deceased that he’ll not forget them.

The prayer was graced by lawmakers, traditional rulers, politicians and more.

Hon. Muhammad Danasabe Muhammad until his death at the age of 47 years last Friday ,was the executive chairman of Lokoja Local Government Council.

He left behind his aged mother,two wives ,brothers and children.

Highlights of the event includes, sympathy visit to the families of the deceased by Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo and some APC Chieftains.
