Kogi State Council Of Ulama’u Holds Prayers For Peaceful Election

Ahead of November 11 Governorship election in kogi state,the Kogi State Council Of Ulama’u on Sunday in Lokoja has urged Kogites to pray for the success of the November 11 gubernatorial election in the state.

The Council made the call after the prayers held at the council mosque in Lokoja, with its Secretary, Alhaji Baba’ango Idris, saying the situation of things in the state, especially the forthcoming election required divine intervention.

“We’re gathered here today to seek Allah’s divine favour over the forthcoming election, pray for peaceful and successful election . The prayers, which was organised by Kogi State Council Of Ulama’u are part of a continuous prayers, and it’ll continue at various major central mosques across the state throughout the period of the election ,” Baba’ango said.

He urged the political players to abide by the law and avoid making statement that could destabilise the state and truncate the electoral process.

“We’re also appealing to the electorate to be more patient with their leaders at all levels.

The council prayed for the reposed of His Majesty,the Ohinoyi Of Ebira land,Dr. Ado Ibrahim who passed away on the early hours of Sunday.
