Tribunal Verdict; Bashir Gegu Congratulates Aguye, Says LKJ/ KG FED Constituency People Vindicated”

Kogi state commissioner for Solid mineral and natural resources, Engineer Abubakar Bashir Gegu,has described the judgment of the National Assembly election petition tribunal, sitting in Lokoja the state Capital, as a “fair deal” for the people.

Reacting to the tribunal judgment in a statement signed by Gegu issued on Tuesday in Lokoja, the commissioner said the “people’s mandate (is) finally restored”.

the statement reads in parts;

“The tribunal verdict was a welcome development and a fair deal for the people of Kogi/ Lokoja federal Constituency who stood behind Aguye before, during and after the February 2023 elections.

“With the judgment, the commissioner noted that APC remains the party to beat at all times, especially during the forthcoming November 11 Governorship election stressing that the people of Kogi/ Lokoja Federal Constituency have been vindicated by the verdict”.

He called on all APC members in Lokoja /Kogi federal Constituency and across the state to remain law-abiding and brace up for the forthcoming November election.

He urged Hon Suleiman Danladi Aguye to be magnanimous in victory at the end of the whole process.
