Senator Karimi re-assures constituents of dividends of democracy

The senator representing Kogi west senatorial District, senator Steven Sunday Karimi in fulfillment of his campaign promises has reiterated his commitment to deliver dividends of democracy to the people in his constituency aimed at adding values to lives.

Karimi, made the remarks during the Lokoja local government APC stakeholders meeting held in Lokoja on Saturday.

He assured the gather that despite litigations in the election tribunal against his election,he remained focused and promised to deliver the dividends of democracy in fulfilment of his campaign promises.

The lawmaker commended members of APC,leaders and stakeholders across Lokoja local government for their unalloyed support during the February election.

On the controversy over the withdrawal of petition filed against him at the election tribunal by Kogi west NNPP senatorial candidate, Hon Abubakar Ibuku Muhammed, the lawmaker who debunked the statement credited to Bukky added.
” I hard Bukky said I promised to pay his lawyers,only a foolish would made that promise, because I don’t know how much you spent for your lawyers, how can I promised to pay your lawyers,I can never promised to pay for his legal services” he said.

According to him,the NNPP senatorial candidate have no case as what he was challenging at the election tribunal has been expunged from the electoral act 2022 as amended.

He appealed to APC supporters to support APC candidate for the forthcoming Governorship election, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo.

In his remarks, Alhaji Sulaiman Babadoko, who served as the director General Karimi campaign Council, appealed to APC supporters to remain calm stressing that senator Karimi would deliver on his campaign promises.

The meeting was graced by Hon Muhammed Mabo Kasim, Hon Danasabe Muhammed Danasabe,APC Lokoja local government chairman,Hon Bature ,former lawmakers among others.
