The Coordinator of Ododo Independent Campaign Council (IICC) Lokoja Local Government area, Engineer Abdulsalam Sagir Muhammad has described the unanimous judgment the election tribunal as a victory for the rule of law.

The ICC Coordinator in a statement on Tuesday said the judgment “validates the decision of most people of Lokoja/ Kogi federal Constituency to do away with the past as expressed in their overwhelming votes in the February 2023 elections.”

He further said the victory at the Tribunal would encourage member of the party to remain determined ahead of November, 11 governorship election.

The statement read in part: “The Independent Campaign Council (IICC) Lokoja local government area hails the judgement of the 2023 national Assembly Election Petition Tribunal dismissing in its entirety the petition filed by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and its House of Representatives candidate, Hon Shaba Ibrahim.
