The Deputy Governorship candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) in Kogi State, Hon. Sam Ranti Abenemi, has told Kogites to vote out APC in the coming election.
Abenemi gave the charge, on Friday when the ongoing ward to ward campaigns of the SDP touched down in Lokoja LGA Ward B.
He urged Kogites to be resolute in their determination to end the suffering imposed by the Governor Yahaya Bello led PDP government in nearly eight years, and asked that they should take any money offered in whatever guise, but proceed to vote APC out.
He therefore called on Kogites to reward Governor Bello and APC by voting Alhaji Muritala Yakubu Ajaka the SDP in the election, and extinguish APC from Kogi state.
He pointed out that the Lokoja Water Works which was once the pride of Lokojans, had under the APC led government of Bello, become a shadow of itself. He promised to bring the water works back to life when elected.
“The time to make a change has come; participate in the ballot revolution. All Kogites are angry. The only solution is to come out and wipe away everything that represents APC. Come out and vote Muritala Yakubu Ajaka as governor. All the challenges that Bello refused to address, we will address. Just make sure you vote in SDP candidate.”
The campaign rally became was carnival of sorts, as party supporters rolled out drums to receive and celebrate the Kogi SDP campaign train.
