•••Commends Gov Bello for nominating Ododo
A former Chairman of People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Kogi local government ,Hon. Ibrahim Sai’du a.k.a Ohi, has led about 200 supporters which includes: former councilors,PDP ward chairmen were all received into All Progressives Congress (APC) by Alhaji Ahmed Ododo.
Speaking during the visit to the APC Governorship Candidate, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo on Wednesday,the former PDP chairman,Hon. Sa’idu said they’ve collectively agreed to defect to APC, based on their conviction that the APC leadership would facilitate good development and quality governance.
He said they were convinced to join the party because of the viable policies and projects of the APC-led government under the leadership of Governor Yahaya Adoza Bello stressing that leadership of commissioner for Solid Minerals and natural resources, Engineer Abubakar Bashir Gegu for enhancing infrastructure and ensuring development of his people was amongst what made them to joined the ruling Party.
He described the defection as a landmark in the political history of Kogi Local Government area, attributing the move to Engineer Abubakar Bashir Gegu’s credibility and political contribution in the zone as well as the state.
Speaking while receiving the defectors, the APC flagbearer Alhaji Usman Ododo, assured the defectors of a level-playing ground.
Ododo said Governor Yahaya Adoza Bello’s APC-led government would continue to address the challenges being faced by kogites through various projects and policies and urged the people to support the party during the forthcoming November 11 Governorship election.
Earlier, engineer Gegu while presenting the new members assured the APC flagbearer of their readiness to deliver Ododo come November governorship election.
