Members of Kogi State House of Assembly representing the good people of Lokoja 1, state constituency, Hon Tijjani Bin-Ebiya Shehu, has felicitated with the Muslims on the occasion of Hijrah 1445.
In a felicitation message made available to newsmen in Lokoja on Wednesday, he implored the Muslims to remember the values of unity, compassion, and understanding, which are the foundation of a strong and harmonious society.
He said new Islamic Year was signify and auspicious as it commemorates the migration of Prophet Muhammad from Mecca to Medina
The message reads:
“As we commemorate the auspicious occasion of Hijrah 1445, I extend heartfelt felicitations to all Nigerians.
May this momentous event mark the commencement of a new chapter filled with faith, hope, and prosperity for each and every one of you.
The lawmaker further stated that the Hijrah stands as a profound journey undertaken by Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and his companions, altering the course of history and serving as an inspiration for positive change in our lives. It symbolizes the migration towards righteousness, leaving behind the old ways and embracing a new path guided by the principles of Islam.
On this sacred day he noted, let us contemplate the teachings of the past and draw inspiration from the unwavering faith and determination of the Prophet.
“May the values of unity, compassion, and understanding that form the bedrock of a strong and harmonious society remain at the forefront of our minds” he prayed.
