Kogi state Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello yesterday received a rousing welcome to the state capital after a rumours which spread like wide fire, that the governor was flew abroad due to ill health.
Thousands of party supporters converged at Gegu in kogi local government,as early as 10 am to receive the governor who arrived at about 4pm.
Bello, who was overwhelmed with the sea of heads at Gegu,koto and Lokoja the state capital,thanked the people of the state for their unalloyed support.
Addressing the mammoth crowd in government House,the governor dismissed the unfounded rumours as act of enemies of the state and called on the people of the state to remain calm as his administration has concluded plans to cushion the effect of hardships caused by subsidy removal .
“So, what I want you to do, all the love, all the support, all the prayer that you have been giving to me, continue but, please, extend that support and prayer to our flagbearer, Alhaji Usman Ododo, support APC, let us all campaign round because this is the only state that we have” he said.
