The Lokoja local government Coordinator of Adodo Independent Campaign Council (ICC), Engineer Sagir Muhammad Abdulsalam, has felicitated with the Muslim faithful on the celebration of the new Islamic year, Hijrah 1445.
Speaking to newsmen during this year’s 1445 Hijrah Commemorations in Lokoja, on Wednesday, Sagir urged the Muslims across the country and kogi state in particular to use the new year period to pray for the development and progress of the state.
He used the opportunity to assure the people of the state that the APC-led administration of Governor Yahaya Bello, which he said has transformed the state, will not rest on its oars until the state finally get to the greater heights.
“I felicitate with you all, particularly the Muslim faithfuls, on the celebration of this year’s Hijrah 1445
“As we celebrate, we must re-enact the exemplary virtues, typified by Prophet Muhammad’s virtues, through his sacrifice, tolerance, honesty, trustworthiness, selfless service and obedience to Allah’s command.
“This is what is expected of us in this new year while assuring you all that the APC-led administration of Gov Bello, which has transformed the state, will not rest on its oars until we see Kogi state of our dream. Wishing you all Happy New Year!”
Sagir called on the people of the state to support the APC governorship candidate, Ahmed Usman Ododo,who he described as a patriotic leader who would sustained the tremendous achievements recorded by governor Yahaya Bello.
