Oba Olafemi Donates N1m To Okedagun Co-operative Society

The Olokedagun of Okedagun-Mopa, in mopa/ muro Local Government Area of Kogi State, His Royal Highness, Kabiyesi Alayeluwa, Oba Clarence Olatunde Olafemi has donated the sum of One Million Naira (N1million) only for the effective take-off of the Okedagun Multipurpose Cooperative Society.

According to the monarch, the cooperative society is certified ready while the opening of a bank account for same, a
work-in-progress.

The highly revered royal father who was at various times, Minority leader and Speaker of the Kogi State House of Assembly as well as Acting Governor of Kogi State all in a stretch of 8 years posited that the prompt release of the needed fund for the initial take-off was to contribute to the ongoing economic transformation of the Okedagun community in the area of trade and commerce.

Oba Olafemi maintained that releasing the take-off fund to the steering committee headed by Mr. Ajayi Joledo is to help alleviate rural poverty in the area. As in his words, ‘Okedagun must be different for good.

He enjoined the committee members to bring to bear their wealth of experience in their different fields so as to consolidate on the much needed economic transformation of the community.
