The Matasan Arewa Forum Kogi state branch, has commended Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi state for steps taken to address insecurity challenges in the state.
The group in a press statement made available to newsmen in Lokoja a copy of which was obtained by THEANALYSTNG on Friday, said since the governor’s assumption of office over Seven Years ago, his administration has taken steps to address the security challenges in Kogi which made the state one of the most peaceful and secured state in Nigeria.
According to the group,, ” As a leader you have made progress in all sectors of the economy, your progressive pedigree and excellent leadership credentials is never in question.
‘As an Architect of peace, you have strengthened the foundation of peace unity and stability in Kogi state while expanding the scope of participatory governance.
“We recognize your transformational leadership qualities as an advocate of social infrastructural re-engineering, one of the biggest and loudest demonstrations of your vision is the promotion of investment to guarantee continuous growth of the state economy and your huge investment in education, roads, healthcare, rural development, youth rehabilitation, empowerment, poverty alleviation and creation are all geared and tailored to build a bright future for the state.
The statement which was jointly signed by Alhaji Halilu Abubakar Chairman, Comrade Yusuf Yakubu Secretary, further stated that the courage, boldness, focus, dedication and policy direction that was anchored on human and physical development, wealth creation, youth and women empowerment are testimonies of governor Bello’s ove 7years administration.
They applauded him for his nominating his successor in person of Alhaji Usman Ododo stressing that the forum would mobilise it members across the state for the success of the APC flagbearer in Kogi state.
The statement condemned the recent attacked on Governor Bello’s convoy by hoodlums suspected to be SDP thugs calling on the security agents to fish out the perpetrators of the dastardly act by bringing them to justice.
