Kogi Guber 2023: Accord Party Flag Bearer Jibrin Vows To End insecurity, Youth restiveness In Kogi

The Accord Party gubernatorial candidate in Kogi, Retired Usman Oyibe Jibrin, has vowed put a halt to the menace of insecurity,Youth restiveness and high level of unemployment in the state if elected as governor In 2023 elections.

The former Chief of Naval Staff made the vow while unveiling his “Kogi Unity agenda’ at the official flag-off of his gubernatorial electioneering campaign in Ayingba on Saturday.

He lamented the rate at which youths are been used as a political tools for killing, especially in the Eastern senatorial District which he strongly attributed to the forthcoming election.

While vowing to change the narrative , he explained that Kogi State was long overdue to be called a mega city but has not been living up to that status because of what he described as the maladministration of the present style of leadership in the state over the years.

“I am the consensus candidate kogites are waiting,the only Candidate that can move freely to campaign across the knock and crannies of the state without seeking permission from anyone, while some aspirants need to take permission before the so.”

Jibrin who described his agenda as “Kogi Unity Agenda ,wondered how he would belittle himself as a Guber candidate of an ethic or a sectional candidate.

“The unification of Kogi state is my top priority,I cannot bring myself too low like others aspirants who tagged their ambitions to be “Igala Agenda”

He maintained that the current
Maladministration under governor Yahaya Bello is not peculiar to Kogi East alone stressing that it’s only a man with experience, intelligence and impeccable track records that can salvage the seeking boat of Kogi state.

Jibrin who quoted governor Bello on the unity of Igala Kingdom, called on the igalas to prove the governor right by using their PVC added “the death of Audu and the failure of governor Bello brought the Igalas together,the governor was quoted” that the day Igalas Unite , every part of Kogi would shiver .It’s time to prove him right by using our PVCS come November 2023 by voting for me” he said.

On the high level of insecurity in kogi state, especially in kogi East,the former Naval Chief promised to confront the situation headlong.

“The current insecurity in the state,especially here in kogi East, is created by some selfish politicians because of the forthcoming Elections.

Ayingba has been described as the headquarters of thuggery in kogi East, as a resident of Ayingba and a strategist, I decided to unveiled my unity agenda in Ayingba to assure the people of Kogi state of my determination to end current insecurity in kogi state if given the mandate to serve ” he said.

He commended all the Governorship Candidates that Stepdown for him and promised to operate an all inclusive government in which every kogites would be a partner.

“I came out with ‘Unity Agenda’ that will reduce the problems in kogi for all of us to live as one family as long as we are before ” he assured.

He debunked the rumours that he is been sponsored by governor Yahaya Bello to truncate the ambition of a candidate.
Am not unaware of the cheap progagada in the social media by some over zealous politicians that am fronting for Bello,those who are making that allegations are well known as Bello’s good friends,is it now that their sojourn in kogi politics is going into the political dustbin of history that you’re rejecting what you planted ? he queried

He called on kogites to ignore the rumours and remain focus on the task of rescues Kogi from poverty and inequality.

Earlier, the national Chairman of Accord Party, Muhammed Nalado, while presenting Jibrin and his deputy Governorship candidate,described him as a unifier, a candidate with experience and exposure whose aspirations is beyond
tribe, ethnicity or religion.

He called on kogites to support the Accord Party flagbearer for unity,peace and development of Kogi state.

The occasion which place at Ayingba Hotel, was graced by former deputy governor Achuba,top politicians ,former Senators, their counterpart from House of representatives and state Assembly.

Others includes: Women and youths groups across the state and members of Accord party.

Highlights of the ceremony is defection of SDP and APC supporters to Accord party who were received by the national Chairman of the party.
