Eid-el-Kabir: Bin-Ebiya calls for faith, goodwill

The member representing Lokoja 1 state Constituency,Hon.Tijjani Shehu Bin-Ebiya, on Wednesday felicitated the Muslim faithful on the occasion of Eid-el-Kabir.

This was contained in a statement he personally signed and made available to Newsmen in Lokoja.

He called on Muslims to emulate prophet Abraham and his son Ismael and the teachings of the holy prophet Muhammad (saw) during the year’s edil-adha festivities.

The statement also congratulated Lokoja 1constitutency pilgrims that for the opportunity to undertake this year’s Hajj.

According to the lawmaker, It is my great honour and privilege to salute the Muslim faithful on the occasion of Eid-El-Kabir, the festival of sacrifice is a celebration of Prophet Ibrahim’s (AS) absolute faith in the Almighty Allah, a tradition that the noble Prophet Muhammad (SAW) continued with, which is being observed annually by Muslims worldwide as an act of worship.

He said in these difficult times, let us be buoyed by faith and retain the hope that together we can make things better.

He urged all to embrace the lesson of sacrifice and uphold peace and goodwill towards all.

The lawmaker further called on the people of the area to continue their support for the present administration under the leadership of governor Yahaya Bello for the interest of peace and development of Kogi state and Lokoja in particular.
