Dan Madami of Lokoja Sule Calls For Prayers, As Muslims Celebrates Eid-el-Adha

The Dan Madami of Lokoja, Alhaji Abubakar Danlami Sule has felicitated with the people of Kogi State and Lokoja emirate on the celebration of Eid-el-Kabir.

In a statement issued on Wednesday, Sule urged the people of the state to use the period of Eid-el Kabir in praying for continuous peace in the state and the nation at large.

He charged Muslims to uphold to the virtues of Islam which he said taught its followers how to live in peace not only with fellow Muslims, but followers of other religions.

A member of Lokoja traditional title holders,the Dan Madami maintained that peace and unity could not be achieved in Nigeria without tolerance among followers of the two major religions of Islam and Christianity.

He used the occasion to call on Muslims to reflect on the significance of the sacrifice epitomised by Eid.

Sule urged Muslims to show love and care to their neighbours and others, while celebrating the spiritually important event in their lives.

He Prayed that the Eid will be a source of blessing, peace, prosperity and safety for Nigerians noting that with prayers and dedication, the challenges of the country will become a history.
