The only Igala Sons who genuinely stood for Igala agenda were Prince Abubakar Audu and Dr Stephen Achema. May their souls rest in peace. May Allah forgive their shortcomings and grant them Aljanat Firdausi.
Before the demise of Audu, an Igala man got him manipulated and frustrated politically and eventually he handcuffed and sent to prison before he was vindicated. Igala agenda or ebira agenda? Or political interest?
Echocho, a committed man to progress of Igala people was lure into politics because of his good deeds, but same igala political lords frustrated him, allowed him to campaign round the entire state, just few days to the general election, an igala man funded the truncation of his mandate and gave it to his Inlaw. Is this Igala agenda or Ebira agenda? Political interest was the answer.
Finally, our Igala political leaders in Bello government approached Echocho to support their government so that after Bello’s tenure, they all support him to run for the governorship election. They appealed to him to go for Senate but Echocho told them he has resigned from politics. There is nobody in the Igala agenda today that was not involved in this plea. Immediately Echocho assumed senate office, some strange men were planted in his office and systematically managed to paint him black, diverted his good courses to their cronies. People became so angry with him but God also vindicated Echocho when his diverted good courses were disclosed to the people. Igala agenda or selfish agenda?
When it is time for the governorship primaries, none of these people talked about Echocho. Before you knew it, 6 of our Igala men who were the promoter of Echocho to Bello became dangerously aspiring for the office of the Governor. What a surprise! What a betrayal! What a back stabbing! If you are in the position of Yahaya Bello will you ever trust these men? Succession is game of trust. Where is Igala agenda? It is purely interest agenda. All the people shouting igala agenda today were the killers of igala nation. Bello has empowered our people but our people used to money to buy filling stations across the country, built estates and acquired needless assets for themselves as at the time Yahaya was building and developing his own people. The proponents of Igala agenda today are the reason for hard biting poverty on our people. These same people now converge to beat drum of Igala agenda. I see a bigger danger and hardship with this so overblown Igala agenda.
Do not let anyone deceive you with any ethnic or religion agenda. How well has these people shown you care before this time.
My religion did not encourage sentiment of tribe and religion when it comes to a choice of leaders. Islam direct us to go for a just person as a criterial for a choice of leaders.
My people, do not let sentiment divide us. We all have our political rights and no one should take a political decision for anyone.
May Allah Almighty choose a good leader for us. Amin.
As for me, I can not afford to do anti party. I have invested so much in the APC and I will remain very tall in promoting my party.
I pray that Almighty Allah give victory to our candidate Alhaji Usman Ododo in the November Governorship election. Amin.
Sometimes the best come from the unexpected. I also pray that Ododo should serve kogi people as the best governor ever. May Allah direct his conscience and actions toward serving the state and its people. Amin.
Sometimes when you conspire against anyone, God Almighty will take the person’s course.
