Several countries formally presented their goodwill messages and letters of support and solidarity to President Bola Tinubu at the Abuja Presidential Village on Monday.
The letters were delivered to the president by the countries’ special envoys and heads of mission after his inauguration as Nigeria’s 16th president.
Countries include the United Kingdom, the United States, Saudi Arabia, Japan, Brazil, South Korea, Israel, Cape Verde, Somalia, and Nicaragua.
While congratulating Mr Tinubu, the new UK High Commissioner to Nigeria, Richard Montgomery, presented letters from UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, King Charles and Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby.
The US delegation led by the Secretary of Housing and Urban Development, Marcia L. Fudge, paid a courtesy call on Mr. Tinubu and had a brief bilateral conversation with him.
Also, the South Korean delegation held bilateral talks with the president.
Delivering an invitation letter from South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol for Tinubu to visit South Korea soon, the delegation also sought to increase relations between the two countries.

The Saudi Arabian delegation delivered a goodwill message from the Saudi Royal House to the President of Nigeria.
A special envoy of Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida also visited Mr. Tinubu and extended a hand of support and comradeship.
In the same vein, the Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu He sent a delegation that met with Mr. Tinubu and expressed his willingness to work with the country in the fin-tech area.
Others who met with Mr. Tinubu and pledged to cooperate with Nigeria included delegations from Brazil, Somalia, Cape Verde and Nicaragua.
