Unguwan Yashi Mosque, Lokoja, was on Monday full to capacity,as friends and well-wishers attended the Thanksgiving in honour of Deputy Comptroller of Custom, Hamisu Sani Nayashi who bow out of service recently.
Nayashi, Theanalyst.ng reports that,he is one of the officer and gentleman in the Custom profession, having passed through all rigours and dangers associated with job, and came out without any administrative blemish, or sustaining any injuries, throughout his 35 year old sojourn in the job. He is better described as a man, who came, who saw and who conquered.
The blessings he received from Allah throughout his career in the custom service profession encouraged him to organise a thanksgiving and , in appreciation of Allah benevolence for him, hence, he invited Islamic Clarics led by Khalifa Arif Yabagi,Malam Ibrahim Zakari,Malam Tanko Tale among other dignitaries from all walk of life to join him in the epoch making events.
Theanalyst.ng reports further that, the Mosque was filled to brim by his guests who came to rejoice with him after fruitful years of active and meritorious service; it was one of the happiest day for the retired Deputy Comptroller Nayashi,who could not hide his joy alongside his family members and colleagues.
The programme was kickstarted with opening prayer, followed with reading from the Holy Quran and praises of the holy prophet Muhammad (SAW).
The guests who came from within and outside the state
were full of rejoice, as they paid tributes to Rtd. Deputy Comptroller Hamisu Sani Nayashi.
Chairman of Danko Development Forum (DDF) Alhaji Bama Mundi,in his commendations described Nayashi as a patriotic officer and core gentleman, whose sojourn in the custom service could be described as humanitarian and service to his father’s land.
He advised others , especially the retired serving colleagues to Nayashi to emulate him.
Retired Deputy Comptroller Sani Hamisu Nasidi joined the customer service in 2008.
He served in various capacities and transverse the country during his sojourn in the service. Nayashi last posting was porthacourt, in River State.
The notable dignitaries at the occasion includes; Prince Ibrahim Gambo Kabir Maikarfi, Chairman, Danko Development Forum,Bama Mundi, Danladi Abdulsalam,a.ka. Dina, Umar Abugi, Daman Lakwaja, Alhaji Suleiman Baba, Alhaji Danladi Barazana, retired and serving colleagues of the celebrant.
Also came out to share their separate experiences and relationship with the retired but not tired DC. Nayashi are: Benu of Lokoja , Alhaji Nagidi Musa,Shiru Lawal, Islamic clerics and members of Lokoja traditional title holders council among others.
