2023: It’s Our Turn To Produce Next Governor — Kogi West Women In Politics

An advocacy group under the aegis of Kogi West Women In Politics (KWWP) has insisted that it is the turn of the Kogi West to produce the next governor of the state.

Addressing journalists at the Nuj press centre on Thursday in Lokoja ,leader of the group,Mrs Titi
Omola said since the creation of Kogi state in 1991,Kogi East administered the state for over 16 years,while at the expiration of Gov. Bello,Kogi central would’ve rules for 8 years.

She pointed out that the group believes that for justice equity and fairness,Kogi West should be given the opportunity to present the next Governor of the state.

Omola appealed to the national leadership of the ruling APC in the state and national level to give a favourable consideration to a Kogi West person emerging as it’s party flagbearer in the November governorship election stressing that it’ll reinforce APC as a just and fair political party.

She described Kogi West as as stabilizing factor in kogi politics
” Kogi West has been steadfast in support of every Governor in the state since the creation of the state and it’s only reasonable that the senatorial District be accorded the same privileged ” she said.

She appealed to Kogi East and Central to support the agitation which she said would enhance the mutual respect of a united Kogi state.
