The All Progressives Congress, APC, Presidential Candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has vowed to prioritise employment opportunities for the vast majority of Nigerians through the abundant minerals resources deposit in kogi state.

Speaking at the Confluence stadium, Lokoja on Wednesday before a massive crowd, the APC presidential flagbearer thanked the people of the state especially APC members for the warm reception they accorded him and members of his campaign trail.

He assured the people of Kogi state of his determinations to revamp the Ajaokuta Steel company and complete the abandoned dredging of River Niger.

“Kogi State is the mineral hub of Nigeria. We are going to work with all stakeholders to tap into the mineral resources which abounds in Kogi State and create a prosperous country that we all would be proud of,” he said.

Tinubu, who commended the government and people of Kogi State for defying the scorching sun to welcome him to the state, said Nigerians will not see hardship again after they vote the party in the upcoming polls.

The presidential candidate said he will end the hardship being experienced by the people and also ensure rapid development of all sectors of the economy.

“Your sacrifice will not go in vain. On the of February 25th, go out and cast your votes. it is in your hand now. Cast your vote, be vigilant and vote for APC. I am the city boy.

“Hope is here. Ajaokuta is resuscitated, dredging of the Niger is done. I am the road runner. You will never see hardship again. Kogi is our solid mineral centre. We will develop it and make life easy for you,” he pledged.

Earlier, the State Governor Alhaji Yahaya Bello promised to deliver massive votes for the APC presidential candidate more than what was given to President Muhammadu Buhari in 2019.

“We know how to do it and we will do it again,” he said.

Bello celebrated the Supreme Court pronouncement which had allowed old and new currency notes to remain in circulation until the determination of the substantive suit filed by himself and two other state Governors against the federal government and the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) on the controversial fiscal.
