Kogi Guber ; Governor Bello Tips His Deputy Onoja, 10 others as Likely Successor

Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State has allegedly named his Deputy Edward Onoja and 10 others as his possible successor in the forthcoming Gubernatorial election in the State.

THEANALYSTNG reliably gathered that the governor cleared the coast for the eleven persons after the executive council meeting held at the Lugard house in Lokoja on Thursday

Those who got the nod of the governor according source includes; Edward Onoja, the Deputy Governor who is from Kogi East, Jamiu Asuku, the governor’s Chief of Staff, from Kogi Central.

Others are Jibrin Momoh, the state’s Accountant General, from Kogi central Central, Yakubu Okala, the state’s Auditor General from Kogi East, Usman Ododo, Auditor General Local Government from Kogi Central and Deedat, Commissioner Local Government and chieftaincy Affairs from Kogi Central.

The list includes; Wemi Jones, Commissioner of Education, Bashir Gegu, Commissioner for Solid Minerals, Hajia Fatima Buba, Commissioner of Women Affairs, Idris Asiwaju, Commissioner of Finance, all from Kogi West and
Another aspirant from outside the cabinet, Alh Yakubu Murtala Ajaka, from Kogi East.

A reliable source confirmed to the THEANALYSTNG that the likes of Senator Smart Adeyemi, the current senator representing Kogi West,Chief Hon. Abiodu Faleke and Hajia Ramatu Tijani a serving Minister of state for FCT from Kogi west are likely to pick their nomination forms in the days ahead.
