The Khalifa of Tijjaniya Sect in Nigeria, Khalifa Sunusi Lamido Sunusi 11, on Saturday in koton karfe, urged the Muslim Ummah to emulate the humility, justice and fairness of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
The former Emir of Kano who was represented by Dr Hafiz Sani Abdullahi,say the best way to honour the holy prophet Muhammad (saw)is to follow his good examples stressing that the prophet become famous for his life of humility, justice and fairness.
He urges Muslims to imbibe the noble virtues of Prophet Muhammad.’
In his own remarks, the Ohimege Igu of Koton Karfe, HRM. Alhaji Gambo Abdulrasaq Isah-koto, urged Muslims to practice the noble and shining virtues of the Prophet Muhammad adding that “the best way to honour him is to follow his good examples.”
The Royal father commended Islamic organisations in the state for their contributions to the propagation of Islam.
He appealed to well spirited individuals among Muslims on the need to offer scholarships to students of his domain and thanked the organisers of the annual maulud Nabiyi .
Earlier in his welcome Address, chairman of the occasion, Alhaji Hassan Shuiabu Ohimozi, while congratulating Muslim ummah on this year koton karfe annual maulud celebration described the holy prophet Muhammad (saw) as the last and the seal of prophets,best examplar and mentor of Muslim ummah.
According to Ohimozi, “the Prophet attracted people to Islam through personal examples of honesty, trustworthiness, justice, patience and tolerance” as he demonstrated “a remarkable life of patience under provocation and honoured treaties with non-Muslims for peaceful coexistence.”
He added that “honesty was one of Muhammad’s greatest virtues and every good Muslim should follow his examples.”
Ohimozi commended the Ohimege Igu of Koton karfe, HRM Alhaji Gambo Abdulrasaq Isah-koto for his relentless efforts support to annual Maulud Nabiyi since he acceded the thrown decade ago.
Good will messages were delivered by the chairman of Jama’atul Nasil Islamic Ambassador Usman Bello and his counterpart of Kogi state Council of Ulama’u, Alhaji Baba’ango Idris amongst others.
Highlights of the occasion includes: lectures delivered by the representative of khalifa Sanusi,Dr Hafiz Sani Abdullahi and Dawood Ya’aqoob respectively.
