Comptroller Of Immigration Service Warns Ecowas Citizens In Kogi To Stay Away From 2023 Elections”

The Kogi State Comptroller of Immigration Services, T.Y. Musa, has called on Foreign Nationals residing in Kogi State to stay off politics particularly the forthcoming 2023 general election.

The Comptroller made the disclosure at a meeting with heads of ECOWAS Citizens residing in Kogi State at a meeting held at the Headquarters of the State Immigration Service, Lokoja.

The Comptroller warned that all ECOWAS Citizens in the State should stay off the forthcoming election, cautioned them against being used by politicians

While pointing out that any mistake or error made by the ECOWAS Citizens to have registered in the past or have collected PVC, urged such persons to return the PVCs to any immigration office nearest to them.

While pointing out that the warning has become necessary to point out that any one apprehended will face the full wrath of the law, described the forthcoming general election as one for Nigerian Citizens alone.

The Comptroller Immigration Service, directed the head of missions to also organise a meeting of ECOWAS Citizens in their various local Government Areas to enable step down the message for non Nigerians not to take part in the forthcoming general election, said such meetings should be supervised by an Immigration Officer.
