The executive director, Risk Management, Keystone Bank Ltd and Sadauna of Kakanda, Alhaji Tijjani Aliyu, has eulogized the late Maigari of Lokoja, Alhaji ( Dr) Muhammadu Kabir Maikarfi 111, described him as man of tradition who was very passionate about the development of Lokoja emirate council and the state in general.
Sadauna made the declaration at the 40 days Fidau prayers for the late Maigari of Lokoja on Sunday, said the late monarch was particularly interested in peace and development of Lokoja.
”I had cause to interact with the late Royal father on several occasions and he always struck me as a man who stood for tradition and was passionate about his subjects .
”He was very passionate about the development of Kogi state, Lokoja local government traditional council in particular, and he kept emphasizing on the need to maintain peace and unity amongst his subjects” Aliyu said.
Aliyu urged the people of Lokoja traditional council not to forget those things that the late Maigari stood for.
”The people should remain united and continue to uphold the values that he stood for, especially his passion for seeing rapid development in Lokoja,” he said.
He prayed that Allah will forgive the late Maigari ‘s shortcomings, grant the people the fortitude to bear the irreplaceable lost, reward him with Aljannah Firdaus
The event was attended by dignitaries including the Ohimege Igu of Koton karfe, HRM Alhaji Gambo Abdulrasaq Isah-koto, Etsu of Eggan , Alhaji Hassan Umar,Tafida of Lokoja , Alhaji Etsu Umar, Dan make of Lokoja ,Alhaji Rajab Naibi, Kogi West NNPP senatorial candidate,Hon. Abubakar Muhammed Ibuku Bukky, members of Lokoja traditional council and a host of others.
The prayer was led by the chief Imam of Lokoja, Sheikh Muhammed Aminu Sha’aban and other Islamic clerics in and outside the state.
