A non-governmental organisation, Presbyterian Disaster Assistance(PDA) And Civil Society for Poverty Eradication CISCOPE has donated N5000 cash to 800 flood Victim family in Ibaji LGA of Kogi State.
Presenting the cash to the affected population in Ibaji LGA, a humanitarian and the Programe Cordinatior of CISCOPE. Hon. Peter M. Egwudah said, the funds was made available by the Presbyterian Disaster Assistance in partnership with the Civil Society for Poverty Eradication (CISCOPE)
Egwudah said the assistance was necessary in order to minimize the pain and hardship suffered by the people following the devastated flood which destroyed their farms, properties, houses and other vital investment of livelihoods.
According to him the fund was sourced with the main aim of reaching flood victims in Ibaji communities and environs.
‘I sourced for the cash in order to assist my people that was greatly affected by the flood, in order to reduce their suffering and pain.
“This is not the first time I am doing this for my people, I’ve to play my little part to touch lives in this critical period of my people in their lives. I commended PDA who are also in this with me to ameliorate the suffering of my people” Egwudah said.
He reiterated the commitment of CISCOPE to continue to render help and assistance and support the communities in Ibaji LGA especially the flood disaster victims.
Egwudah appealed to well meaning individual to come to the aid of the people of Ibaji communities who were affected by the devastated flood which rampaged the entire Ibaji local government area.
