Aliyu Donates N1.2Milion To Budon Flood Victims

The Sadauna of Kakanda , Alhaji Tijjani Aliyu has donated the sum of N1.2 million naira and other reliefs items to victims of flood in Budon District of Lokoja Local Government Area of Kogi State.

Aliyu ,who was represented by Dr Aminu Isah and APC Ward Chairman, Alhaji Muhammad Chatta, made the donation on Tuesday, October 11, in Budon when they visited the affected communities.

The donation, according to Aliyu , was made as part of his contributions to cushion the effects of the natural disaster which affected not only Budon and its environs but the state at large.

According to him, environmental disasters are managed with the deserved urgency and due focus on ensuring that victims are not only provided with needed relief items but supported to rebuild their lives in the aftermath of the incident.

“Speaking at the palace of Agankyu of Kakanda, representatives of Aliyu,Dr Isah said this donation of N1.2M and other food and relief items is made on behalf of our leader and Sadauna of Kakanda,a patriotic son of kakanda Kingdom, Alhaji Tijjani Aliyu, who was unavoidably absent due to his tight schedules.

“It is a continuation of his decades-long outreach to all our people, especially those in need of support to overcome a disaster such as the flood witnessed in Budon and environs” Isah said

The beneficiaries of the cash donation includes flood victims in Budon Town , Internally Displaced Persons ( IDPs) from the suburbs of Kakanda ward and others from Old Muye , Adumbeku and Arah in Niger state who are currently residing in Budon.

Other Communities that benefitted includes: Apata, Gori , Arahfu, Nambata, Budon Tsofo, Taji, Edo, Kumpalla and Doji.

In his remarks,the Agankyu of Kakanda, Malam Muhammed Sani appreciated the Sadauna for his generous gestures and pray for unity and progress of Kakanda Land.

Representative of Village heads who were present at the presentation ceremony, commended Aliyu for the donations which they described as timely and appealed to others to emulate him.
