The people’s Democratic Party (PDP) Kogi West senatorial candidate, Hon. Teejay Yusuf, has met with stakeholders in koton karfe,in Kogi local government to fine- tune strategies to ensure victory in the forthcoming elections.

Yusuf was accompanied on the visit by his Kogi/ Lokoja Federal Constituency candidate, Hon. Shaba Ibrahim
He said the visit was not only meant for assessing effective campaign methods but also to thanked leaders and stakeholders for their support adding that today’s meeting :”is schedule to have a common front in seven Local Government areas in the Zone ahead of the commencement of campaigns which is schedule to begin from today’ he said.
The senatorial hopeful stressed the need to have a strong and united party, capable of mobilizing the electorate in the Zone, state and nation at large to vote PDP in all elections in 2023.
According to Yusuf who is a serving lawmaker representing Kabba -Bunu/ Ijumu federal Constituency, explained further,
“The interactive meetings were concerned to fine-tune campaign strategies to ensure the success of our great party in the 2023 Presidential, Governorship, Senatorial and House of Assembly elections in Kogi State.
“The consultations were also devoted to appreciate your steadfastness and echo unity among party members in order to approach the all-important elections as a united front.
“I urge us to be patriotic, committed and dogged to the cause of our party as important stakeholders whose contributions are needed like never before as we approach the next election.
“Interest of our party, Kogi West, State and Nigeria must always be uppermost in our calculations, declarations and prayers so we could maintain the tempo of nation building through infrastructure development, transparency in governance and above all, upholding the ethos of democracy in our contemporary polity as enshrined in our Constitution.
“We must ensure inclusiveness and stay focused to retain the trust of the people who should be our primary concern as we sell our candidates through intensive campaigning which I am optimistic we’ll emerge victorious at the end of the day,” he said.
In his remarks,Hon Shaba Ibrahim appealed to leaders and stakeholders to work for the success of the party.
Shaba who thanked them for their unalloyed support,expressed optimism that the PDP would emerge victorious come February 2023.
The meeting was attended by former speakers ,Kogi state house of Assembly, Rt. Hon Angulu Umar and Adawari,former PDP chairmen,leaders and stakeholders amongst others.
The candidate is expected to meet Lokoja PDP stakeholders in Lokoja local government.
