Alhaji Muhammadu Kabir Maikarfi 111 ,
the Maigari of Lokoja in Kogi State, who died on Wednesday evening has been laid to rest.
Alhaji Muhammadu Kabir Maikarfi 111 who was the third Maigari of Lokoja, until his death was the Chairman of the Lokoja local government Council of Traditional Rulers.
.Others includes; Senator Tunde Ogbeha, PDP Kogi West senatorial candidate,Hon Teejay Yusuf Amana of Muye ,Alhaji Abdulkadir Maigari ,Danman of Lokoja, Alhaji Sulaiman baba and host of others
Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi state was among hundreds of thousands of sympathizers that attended the funeral prayer of the late Maigari of Lokoja on Thursday.
The prayer which was led by Khalifa Sani Abdulkadir Zaria , was attended by Etsu Nupe, Alhaji Yahaya Abubakar, Hakimi Raya Kasa of Lokoja, Alhaji Abdulrasaq Isah kutepa, former Deputy Governor of Kogi state ,Chief Yomi Awoniyi,Gabi of Lokoja, Alhaji Sulaiman baba Ali, Dan Madamin Lakwaja, Alhaji Danlami Abubakar sule,Hon Shaba Ibrahim member of National Assembly, Diplomats, Islamic and Christian clerics amongst other top government functionaries from across the country.
Speaking to THEANALYSTNG reporter, Gabi of Lokoja, Alhaji Sulaiman baba Ali, said late Maigari contributed positively towards the development of Lokoja ,Kogi state and the nation.

Ali prayed Allah to grant his soul eternal rest and his family and the people of the state and Lokoja emirate council the courage to bear the irreplaceable loss.
In his condolence message, Dan Madamin of Lokoja, Alhaji Danlami Abubakar sule said
“Certainly his death has created a vacuum that will not easily be filled given his exemplary lifestyle and conduct. He lived according to the Sunnah of the Holy Prophet, Muhammad (PBUH)”.
He further stated that his death came at a time when his wise counsel and contributions to the development of the state in particular and the nation in general were most needed.
Late Maigari of Lokoja, HRH Alhaji (Dr) Muhammadu Kabir Maikarfi 111,OON, died at the age of 80, in Abuja on Wednesday evening after a brief illness.
The monarch left behind two wives and fourteen children,among who is : Alhaji Gambo Kabir, Senior Manager with Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) Headquarters,Abuja.
He has since been buried according to Islamic rites beside his late father, Yahaya Muhammadu Maikarfi 11 and his grandfather, late Alhaji Muhammadu Maikarfi 1.
