Former Lokoja local government Director of Administration (DLG), Engineer Yahaya Farouk Muhammed Danladi, has emerged as the new Chairman of Nigerian Society of Engineers, Lokoja Branch
Farouk took over from engineer Saqir Abdulsalam, at the end of the organisation’s Annual General Meetings which took place on Thursday 8, August, 2022 in Lokoja.
In his acceptance speech, Farouk, thanked his colleagues for the confidence reposed in him and promised to justify the it.
He commended Governor Yahaya Bello who he described as pacesetter of the infrastructural development of Kogi state and appealed to engineers in the state on the need to adhere to the ethics of their profession.
Those elected includes; Engineer Yahaya Farouk Muhammed Danladi, Chairman, Engineer Ajayi Felix Itopa,Vice Chairman while Engineer Isah Idris Balarabe emerged as the branch Secretary.
Others are: Engineer David Okene Enesi, Technical Secretary, Engineer Adeyemi Gbolaha, Financial Secretary while Alfa Adamu clichéd the position of treasurer.
The newly elected chairman, engineer Farouk is the 6th chairman since the organisation was Chartered in July 2002.
Until his election, Engineer Yahaya Muhammed Farouk Danladi held the position of Director of Administration,Lokoja Local Government.
