The House of Representative lawmaker representing Lokoja/ Kogi Federal Constituency of Kogi State, Honourable Shaba Ibrahim has bagged the award as the Federal Legislator of the year.
Honourable Ibrahim received the Merit Award from the Nigerian Post Newspaper,publishers of NIGERIA POST, on Thursday at the Nuj conference hall Lokoja.
While expressing his gratitude for the award, the lawmaker promised to perform even better by efficiently representation denying his constituency and attracting greater development to them.
According to him, “Proud to have received the Award for “Federal Legislator of the Year” from the Nigerian Post Newspaper, which he said he has been in partnership with the medium for over a decades.
Shaba,who appreciated the award bestowed on him, promised to do more next year to ensure efficient representation for the People of Kogi/Lokoja federal Constituency.
The Lokoja/ Kogi federal Constituency has seen developments brought by the lawmaker in areas such as Welfare programs, community support, infrastructure, And Human capital development. Some of the programs include empowerment scheme, since the lawmaker assumed office.
Shaba a lawyer by profession, has also proposed important bills and motions like the amendment of the administration of Criminal Justice Act amongst others.
