The Madami Of Lokoja, General Abdulrahman Idris, Former speaker, Kogi state house of Asembly, Rt. Hon. Ahmed Umar Imam, Danman of Lokoja, Alhaji Baba sule, Khalifa Arif Yabagi and others on Saturday attended the naming ceremony of Lokoja 1 state constituency candidate under the platform of APC, Hon. Tijjani Shehu Bin-Ebiya daughter which took place at the family’s karaworo residence.
Other dignitaries who graced the ceremony includes, APC Lokoja/ Kogi federal Constituency candidate, Hon. Suleiman Aguye who was represented by Comrade Abdullahi Adamu, former Administrator of Lokoja local government,Hon Shiru Lawal, stakeholders of the two major political parties, Sarkin Makada of Lokoja, Alhaji Haruna Gimba among others.
Earlier, Chief Imam of Lokoja, Sheikh Aminu Sha’aban, who presided over the naming prayers, urged parents to ensure proper training of their children in a godly way.
Sha’aban said that children were special gifts from God and should be brought up in a godly manner as such children would contribute positively to the development of the society.
He prayed for God’s protection, blessings and good health for the new born and the entire family.
Also speaking, Rt Hon Ahmed Umar Imam congratulated Bin-Ebiya, saying the arrival of a new baby was a blessing from God.
Imam prayed that God should give the parents the wisdom and strength to train the child.
The chairman of Danko Development Forum, Alhaji Bama Mundi who was represented by the Danman of Lokoja, Alhaji Baba sule, prayed for God’s protection, blessings and good health for the new born and the entire family.
Speaking in an interview with Newsmen,Hon Shehu,who was overwhelmed with the large turnout, appreciated all the guests at the occasion.
Bin-Ebiya prayed for journey mercy for all the dignitaries and other well-wishers to their various destinations.
THEANALYSTNG reports that Hon. Tijjani Shehu Bin-Ebiya named the new born baby Aminah Shehu Bin-Ebiya.
