Ex-Lokoja Liaison officer(L.O.1) Defects To APC From PDP

A former Lokoja local government Liaison officer and chieftain of PDP, Hon. Idris Lokoja, on Monday defected from the opposition People’s Democratic Party (PDP) to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

Announcing his defection to the APC while speaking with THEANALYSTNG in Lokoja,the former council boss who was instrumental in helping all the PDP aspirants to secured the tickets of his former party, said he was impressed with the developmental strides of Governor Yahaya Bello,hence the need to join the ruling party in order to move the state forward.

According to the him , the governor needs commendations, especially in the areas of infrastructural development,youth empowerment, security and Human development amongst many.

He stated that he was actively involved in the electioneering campaign ahead of the 2023 elections through which all the aspirants he worked for became flagbearers of his former party,the PDP, adding that he’ll equally contributes his time and experience in selling APC to the electorate and his teaming followers ahead of forthcoming elections.

“Looking at the political trend in the country and after due consultations with my people and other political associates, I decided to decamp from my party PDP to APC as from today, 4th of July 2022,” the former chairman said.

He, however, expressed gratitude to his supporters and associates for their understanding and cooperation.

“I also wish to use this medium to thank my political supporters and other associates for their understanding, patience and cooperation throughout our sojourn in the PDP.” Idris said.
