2023 : Engage in aggressive mobilisation, Bukky Urges Youths

The New Nigerian People’s Party (NNPP) candidate for Kogi West senatorial District, Hon. Abubakar Ibuku Muhammed Bukky,
on Friday appealed to Youths and members of NNPP to embark on aggressive mobilisation to ensure the party’s victory in the 2023 general elections.

Bukky made the appeal in a message he sent to the sensitisation programme for the party’s members, women and the support groups for its senatorial candidate, Hon. Abubakar Ibuku Muhammed in Lokoja, the Kogi state capital.

The Senatorial hopeful identified the growing acceptability of the party and its candidates as its strength ahead of the 2023 elections in the state.

He urged members to canvass for more support for the party’s success to make life better for kogites and Nigerians.

He said that his aspiration and all those contesting under the platform of NNPP in Kogi state enjoyed the support of kogites, who were tired of the negative drift of the state and the nation in the hands of its present ruling class.

Speaking at the event, chieftain of the party in the state and former Special Adviser to Governor Yahaya Bello, Hon. Sulaiman AbdulMalik said that Bukky’s goodwill and his past achievements were attracting kogites to the party.

“We have not experienced what we are experiencing now in terms of people joining NNPP in Kogi state and the nation at large. We keep gaining more members and supporters every day; in fact, we are elated.

“There are some people who did not believe that Bukky could come out to contest and some leaders across party affiliation are in support of Hon. Muhammed Abubakar Ibuku,a.k,a Bukky’s candidature.

“We have the support of all the major political parties that are supporting the party underneath. We don’t want to mention their names for now.

“Our candidate’s past achievements as a human rights activist, philanthropist and Human developer have attracted supporters and again, not all of them believe that Kogi West and the nation should continue the way it is going now.

“They want positive change in t kogi west under the visionary leadership of Bukky ” AbdulMalik said.

In his own remarks, Co-ordinator of Bukky Project 2023, Comrade Ali Yakubu, who double as the Kakaki of Amana of Muye, said the emergence of NNPP as a third force and it growing popularity had made the party hope of common man, especially with Hon.bukky as it flagbearer,the major political parties in the area were afraid of the growing support from Kogi West electorates.

He expressed confidence that the party would secure more votes than all other parties in the West senatorial District come 2023 .

Yakubu said that people were anxious for solutions to the problems of the Kogi West, which he said Bukky, if given the mandate would provide.

Highlights of the occasion includes: messages of solidarity by youths, women and non political groups across the Senatorial District.
