Teejay Yusuf Commiserates with Kupa Traditional Council over Maiyaki Of Kupa’s death

Kogi West People’s Democratic Party Senatorial candidate, Hon. Teejay Yusuf said the late Maiyaki Of Kupa would be remembered for his stand against injustice through out his over 4 decades of meritorious service to the people of Kingdom.

This was contained in a condolace message signed by Yusuf and made available to journalists in Lokoja on Monday.

In the message, he commiserated with the Kupa Traditional Council and the people of the state over the death of Maiyaki Of Kupa, His Royal Highness, Alhaji Muhammadu Kabir Isah, who passed away on Sunday.


The lawmaker described the death of the monarch as a great loss not only to his family and the Kupa Traditional council but to the entire state and humanity at large.

“On behalf of Myself and the people of Kogi West senatorial District, I condole with the Maiyaki family, the Kupa Traditional Council, the government and people of Kogi State over the demise of Alhaji Muhammed Kabir Isah.

“It is with shock that I receive the news of the demise of the revered traditional ruler; an elder statesman who stood for the peace and unity of Kupa at all times.

“The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) mourns with the family of the deceased, the members of the traditional council and the entire people of Kupa over the great loss,” Yusuf said.

According to the statement, the death of Alhaji Muhammed Kabir Isah is indeed a huge loss to the good people of Kupa and Kogi state, especially at a time when his wise counsel is most needed..

Teejay prayed God to forgive the elder statesman all his shortcomings,grand the people of Kupa and his family the fortitude to bear the irreplaceable lost.
