Ahead of the 2023 general election, a socio – political pressure group, Kogi Youth For Good Governance,(KYGG), has appealed to the people of Kogi Local Government to vote for People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Candidate for Kogi/kkf state Constituency Assembly, Hon.Yakubu Shuiabu,a.k.a Yakubu Cashier.
According to a statement signed by Comrade.Ohikwo Ali, Coordinator of the group and made available to Journalists in Lokoja on Friday, said their support for Hon.
Yakubu Shuiabu, PDP candidate for Kogi/kkf state Constituency is honouring him for his contributions towards the overall development of Kogi Local government area and it people.
They said, “Hon. Yakubu is contesting the House of Assembly seat, being the place where he painstakingly contributed for it development.
“We call on the leaders, PDP supporters and the entire Kogi Constituency electorate to cast their votes for Hon Yakubu Cashier, a philanthropist and administrator whose records of achievements in service still remains unparalleled.
The statement further added, “since 1999, no doubt Kogi/kkf state Constituency had lawmakers, but Yakubu is exceptionally good With high mortality in politics and governance.
The group explained that they’ve reviewed all the aspirants and their performances and records.
“This time, we should elect Hon.Yakubu Shuiabu, a.k a Yakubu Cashier to represent the Kogi/kkf Constituency and our good people due to him patriotic zeal and enthusiasm towards the overall interest of the good people of Kogi Local government” statement read.
They called on all political stakeholders and women in Kogi/kkf state Constituency to rally round the aspiration of Yakubu Cashier for the overall development of the constituent.
“We are confident that Hon. Yakubu Shuiabu, if given the mandate as member representing Kogi/ Kkf Constituency in 2023, he would bring to bear his wealth of experience, connections and capacity to bring the desired dividends of democracy to Kogi/ kkf Constituency” the statement concluded.
