The incumbent member Representing Lokoja/Kogi Federal Constituency, Hon. shaba Ibrahim,defeated his arch- rival, Hon. Danladi Ibrahim Baba budon to clinch the PDP ticket for Lokoja / Kogi Federal Constituency.
Announcing the result on Sunday night in Lokoja, PDP electoral officer,said that due process was followed during the primaries.
Mr Emmanuel, who announced the result, said that Hon. Shaba scored 54 votes to emerge the winner, while Hon. Baba Budon got 10 votes to emerged distanced second runner-up.
According to the electoral officer, 65 delegates participated in the primaries adding that the election was free, fair, and peaceful and that it was conducted in accordance with the party’s constitution.
Speaking to THEANALYSTNG, Hon. Shaba Ibrahim thanked the delegates for voting for him and promised to work with members of the party to ensure that PDP wins the constituency.
The election was witnessed by Independent National Electoral Commission ( INEC) Representative,Mr Jamiu Abdulwahid and party officials from the two local governments.
