Ahead of 2023 general election, a youth activist and season Politician, Hon. Henry Francis Folaremi has emerged the candidate of New Ningeria People’s Party (NNPP)for Lokoja 1 State Constituency.
Folaremi, emerged through a consensus arrangement as announced by the leadership and delegates at the State party secretriat,Lokoja, on Wednesday.
Earlier, Lokoja Local Goverment NNPP Chairman,Hon. Muhammed Jibril,a.k.a Alhaji Alhaji, said the party decided to adopt the consensus method to select Folaremi as the party Flagbearer due to his previous records of achievements as a young Politician whose contributions to the development of Lokoja 1 Constituency remains unparalleled.
He said that the NNPP as the only alternative party in Nigeria, is out to correct the maladministration of APC and the PDP, and appealed to electorates in the area to vote for Hon. Henry Francis Folaremi as member Representing Lokoja 1 State Constituency.
In his reaction, Folaremi thanked the delegates, NNPP leadership and stakeholders
for the trust and privilege granted him as the standard bearer of NNPP in the Lokoja 1 State Constituency election.
He equally thanked other aspirants for their understanding and agreeing to his emergence as the consensus candidate of the NNPP Lokoja 1 state Constituency.
The House of Assembly hopeful promised to operates an all inclusive government adding that he’ll implement People’s orientated programs that will focus on skill acquisitions youth and women empowerment programs.
He appealed to the electorates on the need to cast their votes for NNPP which he described as third force,”that’s out to rescue Nigeria”.
On his chances of wining the forthcoming election, Folaremi said :“I’ll be counting on their ( electorates) support as we prepare for the election, which I strongly believe our party will win.”
The event was witnessed by the representative of Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Alhaji Jamiu Abdulwahid, NNPP, Chairmen from the ten wards of Lokoja 1 Constituency, party officials and party supporters amongst many.
