The Secretary General,Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON) and Kogi west Senatoial hopeful,Hon. Muhammed Abubakar Ibukun Bukky, has pledged to empowered more people in his constituency if elected as Senator Representing Kogi West Senatoial district.
Bukky, who is yet to unveal the platform to contest under, said this in Lokoja on Friday while speaking with THEANALYSTNG.
He said that he empowered many people in his Senatoial district as a philanthropist, but would like to empower more if given the mandate to serve as Senator Representing the area.
Bukky also promised to play politics without bitterness as he would liaise with other lawmakers to move the constituency forward.
According to him, he’ll ensure everybody irrespective of political, religion or tribe affiliations is carried along.
“I will ensure everybody in the Kogi West is carried along irrespective of political party affiliation,” he said.
The Senatoial hopeful also promised to hold quarterly town hall meetings to provide feedback to his constituents as well as get their inputs on national issues.
“As a Politician and unionist, I have wealth of experience in material and human management which I’ll bring to bear when given the mandate to serve.
“My attention to and respect for people helped me to succeed as secretary of ALGON and Politician of repute.
” I have empowered many people in my constituency as a philanthropist and want to empower more,” he said.
He called on the people of the area to jettisoned the politics of money and embrace politics of credibility, trusts and performance.
