An aspirant seeking to represent Kogi West Senatoial district of Kogi, Chief (Mrs) Adedoyin Ibikunle Eshanumi has promised to push for the right legislation that would empower women and youths in order to actualize her economic development and human empowerment programs.

Chief Eshanumi, the only female aspiring to represent Kogi West Senatoial district contesting under the platform of All Progressives Congress (APC), made the pledged while speaking with Newsmen on Sunday in Abuja, after she was screened to contest.

She vowed that if elected, she will support and collaborate with other Lawmakers to make sure that she pursue what is of benefit to the Kogi west Senatoial district in particular and the state at large.

According to her, she is in the race to serve the good people of Kogi west stressing that the area is far left behind interm of provision of dividends of Democracy for the past sixteen years.

Eshanumi, who promised to Accord education, women and youth empowerment top priority said: “First of all we want to seek for improvement in education and health sectors. Also empowering women and youths is very important in my agenda.

“So my target is to work with the party to strengthen it and to galvanize the energies of the youths for economic development.

“I will support the policy that seeks to strengthen youths and human resources development in my Constituents.she said.

Eshanumi promised to work
with others in the National Assembly to push for the right legislation that will help strengthen our democracy and ensure good governance in the country.

Speaking on her chances of picking the APC ticket in the mix of male contestants and winning the election, Eshanumi said: “We have a very strong structure on ground across the seven local Governments that constitutes the Senatoial district . In fact I was able to meet with delegates to the forthcoming APC primary” Eshanumi said.

She appealed to delegates to vote competency and promise to operate all inclusive government if given the mandate.

She was accompanied by some APC stakeholders and supporters across Kogi west.
