Kogi Local Goverment All Progressive Congress ( APC) Executives Sunday, passed vote of confidence on the leadership of State Commissioner for Solid Minerals and Natural Resources, Hon. Abubakar Bashir Gegu.
This was disclosed by the Chairman of the party, Hon Abubakar Sadiq at a meeting held on Sunday.
Sadiq said the executives have resolved and passed vote of confidence in the leadership of Engineer Basir Gegu as the leader of the party in the area and Governor Yahaya Bello as the leader of the Party in the state.
According to him, “Henceforth, Party Executives, supporters and leaders have resolve that all messages from the leader of the party in the state, His Exellency, Governor Yahaya Bello that come through engineer Gegu would be comply with.
No well-meaning party member will condone any distraction at a time when Engineer Abubakar Bashir Gegu has done so much in repositioning the party in line with the guidance of His Exellency Governor Yahaya Bello” the Chairman said
He called on APC faithfuls, youths and other members of the party to disregard all fake news, attempts and plot to destabilize the party and success recorded so far under Engineer Basir Gegu led leadership .
The Executives commended Gegu for his continued efforts to increase the fortune of the party in the area ahead of 2023 general elections.
They thanked Engineer Gegu for distributing cows, cash, foodstuffs and cloths to APC supporters across the local governments area adding that the good gestures of APC Lokoja/ Kogi federal constituency aspirant, Hon. Danladi Sulaiman Aguye need commendation by all and sundry.
