Lokoja Local Goverment chapter of All Progressive Congress (APC) has felicitated Muslims on the occasion of this year’s Eid-el-Fitr celebrations which mark the end of Ramadan.
APC said there is no doubt that the month-long fasting afforded Muslim brothers and sisters the opportunity to rededicate themselves to God and prayed for the nation and Kogi State in particular.
This is contained in a statement signed by the Chairman, Hon. Maikudi Bature and made available to Newsmen on Monday in Lokoja.
The statement,” enjoins Muslims to imbibe the virtues of love, peace, tolerance, forgiveness and hard work as we renew our faith in building a strong, united, progressive and decent democratic society.
The Party urges Nigerians to pray for the country. With our collective efforts, we shall make Nigeria great again,” the statement added.
Bature congratulated Maigari of Lokoja, Alhaji (Dr) Muhammmadu kabir Maikarfi lll, OON, who celebrated 30th years on the throne.
He prayed for peace, Unity and more prosperous years ahead.
“May Allah Grant his Royal Highness good health, long life and more prosperous years as he pilot the affairs of Lokoja emirate” the statement concluded.
