National President of APC Youth Vanguard, Hon. Haruna Kabir Alfa, has picked All Progressive Congress(APC) Lokoja 11 Constituency nomination form on Friday.
Alfa who addressed journalists shortly after picking the forms at the APC state secretariat in Lokoja, noted that as a member of the APC , he has consulted widely and he is eligible to contest the House of Assembly election.
He urged party Faithfuls to support him in clinching the Party ticket noting that, as the National president of APC youth Vanguard, he has contributed largely to developments of the party since its formation, especially during the 2015 and 2019 general Elections.
Alfa, a journalist by profession, commended the Kogi Governor for his developmental strides in the state urged the party to organize a free and fair primary.
On the speculations that the party leaders had endorsed an aspirant from Lokoja 11 state Constituency, Alfa said,”
“As far as am concern, and by our permutations, I know His Exellency, Governor Yahaya Bello very well, he is a visionary leader, and progressive minded Politician who always work inline with the doctrine of APC’s participatory Democracy and the rule of law, wouldn’t impose or aniot any body. On the same issues, I had the opportunity of speaking with him, (Gov.) his Chief of staff and the state party Chairman, Hon. Abdullahi Dollar, they assured me that there’s nothing like anoited candidate, it’s a speculation and unfounded rumour. We are optimistic about what the leaders said, that’s why we are at the party state secretriat today to pick our intent and nomination form.
After reaching out to our leaders, stakeholders, our people and with the support I have received, it’s paramount I officially pick up my expression and nomination form to contest for the state house of Assembly” he said
He explained that Serving the people gives me joy and promise not to disappoint them if giving the support to win the party primary,” he said.
He promised to embark on meaningful Constituency projects and also to attract more developments to the people without bias if elected.
