Kogi state Commissioner for Solid Minerals and Natural Resources, Engineer Abubakar Bashir Gegu has distributed food items to thousand of people, especially the Muslim Ummah to show love and charity to them.
Gegu,while distributing the items said the kind gesture was aimed at cushioning the impact of the global economic situation in the country during the glorious month of Ramadan.
He said the month of Ramadan is spiritually recognised for increased acts of worship among the Muslims ummah,hence the need to support the less privileged among the Muslims ummah in particular and the community in general.
The sharing of the largesse which cut across party lines, was appluded by the beneficiaries who prayed Allah to reward Gegu for his benevolent to his Community and humanity in general.
Item distributed includes; Rice cooking Oil,Milk and food stuff and many more.
