A Deputy Inspector General of Police and the head of the Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID), Joseph Egbunike died 15 minutes after he arrived hospital for routine medical check
According to reliably source who doesn’t want his name in print informed THEANALYSTNGt, that the deceased went to hospital by himself for routine medical check.
“The DIG didn’t slumped in the office as some Media houses reported, late DIG Joseph Egbunike walked into the hospital to see the doctor and died 15mins after” says our source
Until his death, Egbunike was in charge of the highest investigating arm of the Nigeria Police, and headed probe panel investigating suspended deputy commissioner of Police Abba Kyari.
His functions include investigation and prosecution of serious and complex criminal cases within and outside the country.
