Kogi state Commissioner for Solid Minerals and Natural Resources, Engineer Muhammed Abubakar Bashir Gegu has congratulated the executive Governor of kogi State,Alhaji Yahaya Bello for his enormous contributions to the success of the just concluded APC National Convention.
The commendation was made on Saturday at Eagle Square,Abuja during an interview with Newsmen.
He explained that governor Bello’s pragmatic approaches and hand work as vice chairman of security committee of the convention was unparalleled, adding that the rancour free convention witnessed before and after the just concluded convention where over 7,000 delegates attended is an indication that with Bello as successor to president Muhammmadu Buhari, the current insecurity challenges been face would be a thing of the past.
Gegu,who served as APC member, security committee National convention, said the Clarion calls from all section of the country irrespective of tribal inclination, Religious beliefs from the six Geo-political zones to contest for the number one seat in 2023 is not only well deserved but a progressive called that should be commended and supported by Nigerians and all lovers of democracy in the country.
When asked about his political ambitions in 2023,the Commissioner said,his only agenda and ambitions is to compliment his principal’s efforts towards his bid to serve the people of Nigeria as president come 2023.
“My people have been calling me to contest,for now it’s only my principal Governor Yahaya Bello, who can ask me to contest in whatever position he deem it fit. My concern at the moment is to see the actualization of Governor Yahaya Bello to emerge as the number one citizen of the country in 2023” Gegu said.
