Former APC Governorship Aspirant 2014 and Accord party (ACP) Governorship candidate in 2019 election, in Kogi state, Alhaji Abdullahi Muhammed ,a.k.a Elephant was on Monday unanimously elected as the new North Central zonal Chairman of New Ningeria People’s Party(NNPP).
Announcing the result in Lafia, Headquarters of Nasarawa state,Chairman of special Congress Electoral committee,Dr Ahumun Yen Ihemadu, said the election was conducted on consensus where Abdullahi Muhammed was unanimously elected by the delegates to the Congress .
The delegates according to Ihemadu were drawn from the five states of North Central: Kogi,Kwara,Benue Plateau and Nasarawa states.
Ihemadu, who spoke with journalists after announcing the result, said the exercise was free, fair and transparent as delegates conducted themselves in a peaceful manner.
In his acceptance speech, Abdullahi Muhammed, popularly known as Elephant,
expressed appreciation to the delegates and the entire members of the party for finding him capable of occupying the office.
He explained that his responsibility and that of his team is to led the party to victory not only in the zone,but the entire country.
He Ansured the delegates of his determination to discharge their responsibilities towards enthronement of an all inclusive government come 2023, especially in North Central part of Ningeria adding that the zone has been a pacesetter in the area of supporting other zones and called on the people of the area to join New Ningeria People’s Party (NNPP) which he described as a party belonging to all Nigerians.
Those elected are: Abdullahi Muhammed,zonal Chairman,Hon. Philip Oyiru Haruna,Asst Secretary,Mrs Ramatu Musa,as treasurer.
Others includes: Mustapher Sulaiman, Financial Secretary,Ja’afa Isah Dauda, Publicity Secretary,Umar Faruk Auta, organizing Secretary while Muhammed Abdullahi emerged the Chairman, Special need.
Highlights of the Congress includes,the inauguration of needly elected officials.
